About the Rise Recliner
A recliner in tobacco brown microfibre, brushed to a suede-like surface. The back is built in six padded segments in three rows of two and the footrest in four, which is what gives it its depth without a single slab cushion anywhere. A two-button panel with a USB port sits in the right side panel, a flat pocket is sewn to the outer right, and the handset arm mounts on a bracket beside it.

How it is made
- Frames are built from plywood and engineered wood, with metal where a piece needs it, such as a recliner's mechanism.
- Frames are joined with glue and screws, and with mortise and tenon joints.
- Seats sit on sinuous steel springs, or on the recliner's own mechanism.
- Cushions are high-density and high-resilience foam, some with a memory foam layer, wrapped in fibre or feather.
