About the Pebble Storage Ottoman
A drum that opens. The lid is a full third of the height and lifts off whole rather than hinging, leaving a deep horizontal gap around the piece that reads as a line rather than a joint. One row of topstitching runs the upper edge of the lid, the top is flat and turns over gently at the rim, and four cylindrical feet hold the base clear of the floor. Slightly wider than it is tall.

How it is made
- Frames are built from plywood and engineered wood, with metal where a piece needs it, such as a recliner's mechanism.
- Frames are joined with glue and screws, and with mortise and tenon joints.
- Seats sit on sinuous steel springs, or on the recliner's own mechanism.
- Cushions are high-density and high-resilience foam, some with a memory foam layer, wrapped in fibre or feather.
